Originally from Kansas, Leslie Steele now lives and works in San Diego, California. She has been producing artwork for several years, taking her first live drawing class as a teenager. Leslie’s current work as a zoo keeper and her education in psychology has made her sensitive to behavior and the subtle clues that lie in the physical form. Each piece melds complex emotion and raw sensuality to produce an image both haunting and beautiful. Her work has evolved over the years influenced by her extensive travel and life experience.
